History#

Every time you do a bulk rename using Filename Tidy, it will add an entry to its history database that records which files and folders it successfully renamed.

From the History screen, you can undo a bulk rename:

  • Open the History screen from the “More options” menu at the bottom of the main window.

  • Find the bulk rename you want to undo and click the Undo… button.

This will open the bulk rename screen and populate the File queue with actions that will rename/move the files back to the their original names and paths.

If you only want to partially undo the bulk rename, you can remove items from the queue by right-clicking and selecting Remove from queue.
