The Filename Tidy app for Windows 10 and Windows 11 does not send any personal data to us or any third parties. All of your data – including your filenames, file contents, and settings – stays on your computer. In particular, it doesn’t use any online AI or LLM services. Put another way: you could disconnect your computer from the Internet and Filename Tidy would still work.

Optionally, Filename Tidy will occasionally try to connect to our servers to see if a newer version of the app is available. This functionality can be disabled from the app’s Settings page.

If you purchase Filename Tidy, the payment service providers we work with will collect some data to facilitate that payment. We may ask you for your email address to associate you with your purchase and provide you with the services you paid for. If you wish for us to remove your email address, please contact us.
